Actually, it’s not exactly hiking anyway, because it only travels about 2 hours. Yes, because we are already at the Dieng Plateau, then to reach the summit of Mount Prahu is fairly easy and does not like climbing a real mountain.Dieng Plateau is located on the 4 districts namely Wonosobo district, Banjarnegara District, Kendal and Batang District, it’s an area with many mountains such as Mount Prahu, Pakuwaja Mountain, and Mount Sikunir. Prahu Mountain itself is at the border with Kendal and Wonosobo with an altitude of 2565 m.
At that time we headed to a place called the a Thousand Hill or also often called Mount of Teletubbies. So called because at its peak will seem like small mountains in the movie Teletubbies. The road to get there is pretty easy, even for beginners like us, but we still need a lot of time for a rest.
Initially we passed a stretch of fields planted with potatoes. In addition there are cabbage, Carica (a kind of mini papaya), carrots, chili Dieng (like a mini peppers), green onions, eggplant, and others. According to the story, if Carica seed planted in the other land, it will grow into a regular papaya. On the contrary, if Papaya seed planted in the Dieng, it will grow into Carica.
The trip is continued, and we reached the top as we seen Lake Colors in the distance, beautiful! Then we also stopped at the bed of flowers to take pictures. But unfortunately we cannot continue the journey to the summit because of the fog began to confront that is a sign of rain. Finally, we reluctantly headed down the mountain.
